2019 Farewell Messages from Sec 4s

Heyo Guides ! Farzana here!! It’s been great to know each of you since Sec 1s. I hope that you girls will continue your effort in making your guiding memories a fun one! There will be a lot of adventure and learning throughout your years in Girl Guides . I also hope you guys maintain the discipline , the hype and exciting moments in Guides. Do help each other , guide them . Feel free to approach the Sec 4s if you any questions to ask!!! All the best for your studies . 

For the Sec 3s do juggle your CCA and studies well as next year will be your National Exams.

Sec 2s , study smart and choose your subject combination wisely. If you need any advise do approach us!! 

Sec 1s , all the best for your journey in Guides , have fun and I wish you luck to achieve well in the future 🏼

Hello guides ! Im so glad that im in girl guides it has changed me alot honestly. I love all the fun memories we created and the sisterhood.  It has been so great to know you guys i hope that y'all will continue to work hard and make girl guides fun + hype! 
For the sec threes all the best for your academics and also cca it will a busy year for all of you:)
For the sec twos work hard so that y'all can choose the subject combi u all wan haha

HI SISTARS  Brenda here. I’ve seen most of you since Sec 1 AND IM SO PROUD OF HOW YALL HAVE GROWN! Keep up that hype spirit and be super enthu so that u can have max fun during CCA sessions oky. Yall have made my GG journey really memorable and I will miss all of your lame jokes :)

For Sec 1s: Welcome to Girl guides!!! You all have just joined so maybe you abit shy shy, its okay. We all become close through attending different Girl Guides events tgt, so when those come participate fully ok. Hope to see your faces at NDP next year maybe ;). Hope you all have a fun time at GG!!! Theres no PT

Heeeeyyy guides! It’s been a great adventure with ya’ll ever since I first met u guys (I’m also proud to see how much you all have grown) , UWU. I would like to thank you for all the awesome memories we all shared together in GG!🏻 I hope that you all will have an great adventure especially events! Do help out one another and do your best in discipline and marching. Just like what Farzana said, do feel free to approach the Sec 4~~. Furthermore good luck for your future endeavours!

Sec 3, please remember that there is a time for everything so make sure to organise your time for your studies! Especially in Sec 4.

Sec 2, make sure to study and do your best in your exams! All the best for your marching and make sure that your subject combination is something that you enjoy/want to do!

Sec 1, it’s sad that this year I could only spend so little time with you all  but that alright oof. But, I do hope that you all will hyper for all different kind of GG events and do your best in marching! 🏻

Dear sec 3s: YALL ARE TRULY AMAZING!!!! I am pretty sure of the potential yall have to make guides a better cca! As a batch all of you are bonded, enthusiastic and full of capabilities. Dear sec 2s: I am so proud of yall!!! I still remember how yall were so shy in sec one and now yall are a crazy bunch of bonded sisters!!  Continue being that way and stay hyped and cooperate with your seniors to make guides a better CCA!!  All the best for you SOE this year 🥰!!

It was great knowing you all but sadly all of the sec4s had to step down even before we can really bond:< but its fine because i know you all will enjoy your times in GirlGuides even if you dislike it now. But after you guys had bonded as a badge, i am sure all of you will cherish every single moment you spend with each other i wish all the best and hope you can be a great role model for the future juniors have fun!!

4 years ago, we were a bunch of shy, blur group of girls. Some of us were apprehensive about CCA others excited. We resented coming week after week only to get scolded by our seniors about the smallest things. We didn't understand the need for a timer every single time we moved from place to place, how the whole company was so tightly bound with friendships and thought that marching was a complete was of time. We were emotionless when our senior broke down in front of us when we were unenthusiastic, unwilling to participate during camp. And we more certainly did not understand the point of Girl Guides at all.

4 years later, we can finally say that we understand. Girl Guides is not just a CCA. It is an adventure. It is a movement. It is a people. During my one year as your Company Leader, I tried my best to cultivate a an enviroment of friendship and encouragement. To ensure that all of you have the balance of discipline and skills that every guide must acquire. While I still want to contribute and invest in your lives, my time here is up.

I trust that the new EXCOs, PLs, PS will continue to legacy left by our seniors. Bringing up strong, independent who don't need no man.

How to make CCA fun 101:

1. Be positive
Now, I'm not saying that you have to look like you're high all the time. Instead, when you're tired and sian from CCA and marching. Take a step back a try to see things from your seniors perspective. I can say from experience that they don't take joy in 'torturing' you and making you redo commands over and over again. They want to see you improve. Seeing you grow really makes them proud.

2. Be participative
Loving girl guides is a mindset. If this CCA isn't your first choice, and you intend on hating it, I must admit that this 4 years is going to be a hellhole for you. By participating actively during CCA, you are encouraging your friends to feel less awkward and join in the craziness. All it takes is for one of you to step out of your comfort zone. It can be as simple as singing along to cheers.

3. Be open
Never be afraid to try new things when offered the opportunity. You will be surprised at how much you'll learn.

Lastly, thank you. Y'all have been a supportive bunch and I am very proud to call myself your company leader. Especially, when people said that girl guides has the best marching! :D Remember to love one another, and don't be complacent.

Each one of you has so much potential. I believe that you can change the world. Prove me right!
