Date: 31st May 2013
Time/Venue: 1.30pm-4.30pm/Foyer
Attire: Full Uniform with canvas shoes(parallel shoelace)
What to bring:
-Water bottle
-Level tee and PE shorts ( everyone excluding councillors)
-Full school uniform (councillors)
Things to take note:
- tomorrow is CCA photo taking. Please be in the proper attire. Do not forget any part of your uniform. The full uniform includes, the shirt, skirt, belt, scarf, hat, 4cm socks, canvas shoes, badges, enrollment badge, ranks. I have typed out every part of your uniform so no one should be giving excuses for forgetting to bring any part of it. Also, do iron all parts of your uniform. a crumpled uniform will look really weird, so yupp.
- I know that many of the sec 1s and even some sec 2s do not know how to tie your scarf. Please do view this link: http://www.girlguides.org.sg/cos/o.x?c=/ggs/pagetree&func=view&rid=5107. The link will show in detail on how to tie your scarf.But i know that some of you don't know how to iron also. So these are the instructions on how to iron:
1. When you iron your scarf, first flip it to the back, with the back of the crest facing you (the crest is to be underneath).
2. Measure 3 finger length above the crest and fold once. Iron it.
3. Then, without unfolding it, flip it back to the front (the crest is now facing you)
4. Fold the folded area (that is 3 finger above the crest) into half. Iron it.
5. Divide the half into 3 segments and iron it. dividing it into 3 segments doesn't mean u fold it thrice. You have to fold it twice into equal 3 segments.
I know it's confusing but please don't iron it wrongly because it will be extremely troublesome tomorrow. If unsure ask ur PL or any of the excos.
- please polish your enrollment badge.
- Strictly, NO sport shoes are allowed. MUST wear 100% canvas shoes.
- tying of plaits. This is always a problem. Many of the guides always give the excuse that you can't find anyone to tie plaits and therefore ask someone to tie for you during roll call. This is excuse won't be valid. School ends at 12.30pm. you guys have more than enough time to find someone to help you tie. If possible, tie plaits before coming to school or during recess. No one should be tying plaits during roll call.
-No one should be falling in late. The only peson allowed to fall in late is parvartha since she has HMT. Anyone who is late will be down for punishment.
- All the excos except Nur zafirah are down for HMT. so she will be the one handling the whole roll call. Please don't give her a hard time alright?
- I know that we haven't started on any of the punishments. That doesn't mean that we don't mean what we say. it was only because we didn't wanna be harsh with u guys on the first and 2nd cca. from tomorrow onwards all punishments are going to start. so please don't try your luck and come late for cca /don't wear proper attire.
- Lastly, the ranks. It should be 1 finger spacing between the rank and the end of flap. Also, do make sure that the rank doesn't move after you have sewn it. Those who still don't understand, you can ask Afiqah, Ji Xuan, Elizabeth, Eunice, Zafirah z or Shelley because they PS before then they know how to sew so yeah:)
I know it's alot of things to take in but do read all of it cause i put in alot of effort to type it :P Do put on your best smile for CCA tmr and be enthu WOOHOO! :D
