first, thanks for being so enthusiastic about it. here's all the info about it (sorry for the late info)
stations:
1. family tree
- a team of 4
- time: 45 minutes
- what you'll be doing - construct a 3D family tree
- logistics that we have to bring ourself - photos of family members of one guide (will not be returned), craft materials, colouring materials etc
- how to win: there are judging rubrics which i'll send when you all finalise your teams
2. scrapbooking using recyclable materials
- teams of 4
- time: 45 minutes
- make a4 sized scrapbook page using recyclable materials and family photos. must use creativity!!
- things to bring: own decorating materials, stationery and photos
- judging rubrics will be sent to you all
3. using recyclable materials for a mystery craft
- teams of 4
- time: 1 hour
- a scenario will be given that will only be revealed at the start of the session and you guys have to use your creativity to create a suitable artwork that best suits the scenario
- example of scenario: make a souvenir for a foreign exchange student
- things to bring: old clothing, newspaper, magazines, other recyclable items and stationery etc
- (will be penalised for bringing new materials)
- there are judging rubrics for this activity as well
4. floral talent
- teams of 4 (2 guides and have to bring a family member along each)
- time: 1 hour
- to create a bouquet/pot of flowers using creativity and environmentally friendly materials
- theme: "flowers for my grandparents"
- things to bring: things needed for flower making (must be environmentally friendly)
- also marked based on judging rubrics
so guides involved in west division, do quickly decide your teams and tell us by tuesday (:
