there is a change in instructions so we will require those guides who went for this camp to submit a scrapbook.
details of the camp, what you did there as well as personal reflections from all of you has to be included. take note that your reflections has to include what you learnt from this overall, how you benefited from it, etc and not just simply recounting what you did at the camp.
do try to decorate it nicely as well!
2. all who did the CIP project in your groups of 4 -
your scrapbooks have to be redone/edited as some of them are very sloppy/missing information and might be rejected by the HQ. some reflections were poorly written as well.
your scrapbook should include:
a) cover page (simple and neat design)
b) content page with page numbers too
c) aims & objectives of the project
d) an attendance log, signed by the association you helped at, to acknowledge the number of hours that you did (must be at least 30 hours total)
e) project descriptions etc
g) reflections + photos
f) an attached letter or email printout from the association to prove that you have completed 30 hours of CIP with them
note: for those of you who don't have the attendance log or attached letter/email printout, you have to go down to the association to get it again as without these, your project is not counted as it does not have sufficient proof.
this is a sample scrapbook done by a previous batch of seniors which you can use as a model example:
NOTE: i also sent an email to all the sec2 guides and those few sec1 guides who are involved in doing this CIP project so do check it! it's another sample scrapbook draft done by ethel.
also, take note that your reflections should not simply be recounting what you did on that day etc but also must include what you learnt from the project, how you benefited and all those.
another thing to take note of is the photos. some of you use photos of your team members covering their faces, which you shouldn't. please use clear photos where your face isn't hidden :)
i know all of you have put in a lot of effort in making your scrapbooks and they are really nice and colourful, but they need a bit of touching up so please get it done!
if you do not want to start from scratch, you can take your scrapbook from the guides room (get a teacher's help to borrow guides room key) and edit it from there.
