Instructions For Sec 1s:

Thrift Badge:

Clause 1.     Having a savings account of at least 3 months’ standing and show that she has added to it regularly from her savings or pocket money. Have 5 columns, 1- date and day(do on Sat & Sun also), 2- how much you have at the beginning of the day, 3-  how much you spent, 4-  how much you saved, 5- total saved

Clause 2.     Bring a certificate from her parents stating that she is not wasteful in the home and is keeping her belongings in good condition. (Get your parent's signature)

Clause 3.     Bring to the test an article that proves that she is thrifty. E.g. repairing toys or equivalent. Include a picture of what you have repaired and do a short write up around 100 words.

Answer questions on the real meaning of thrift and keep a notebook over a period of at least a month of ways in which she is able to put thrift into practice.



Start this badge as of TODAY, so record today's amount of money too. You will have to keep this record for 3months. Your thrift badge should be printed, not written by hand. At the end of 3 months, present us your badge along with all the 3 clauses intact TOGETHER. No extensions are given, any negotiation will be ignored.
